Answering Questions On Our Certified Pre-Owned Chevy Models

Executive Chevrolet CPO

When you visit our Chevy dealership, you’ll see that the cars on our lot can be broken down into three primary categories: new, pre-owned, and Chevy Certified Pre-Owned. While it’s obvious what new and pre-owned Chevy models are, some drivers aren’t exactly sure about Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) automobiles.

For that reason, we’re answering our most frequently asked questions about our Chevy CPO inventory.

What are the Benefits of Buying Pre-Owned?

Drivers often ask our Chevrolet dealers why they should consider purchasing one of our previously owned cars. Price is one of the biggest reasons, as pre-owned vehicles are often less expensive than new cars. This can help you get more car for your money, as you can step up to a higher model or trim without stretching your budget.

Pre-owned cars are usually less expensive to register and insure as well. When you get a previously-owned vehicle, you’ll avoid most of the rapid depreciation that occurs when a new car is driven off a dealer’s lot, allowing you to retain more equity.

What Additional Benefits Does a Chevy CPO Car Offer?

While our CPO cars share all the same benefits as our pre-owned vehicles, Chevy CPO cars have even more to offer. For starters, Chevy Certified Pre-Owned cars are backed by a six-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty and a 12-month/12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. Neither warranty has a deductible and both are transferable.

Chevrolet CPO cars that come with OnStar® connectivity also provide a limited trial of SiriusXM® radio. In addition, owners of Chevy CPO vehicles get to enjoy 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the duration of their powertrain limited warranty.

Where Can I Learn More about Chevy’s CPO Program?

As you look through our pre-owned specials, you’ll notice that not every previously-owned Chevy vehicle is certified. That’s because only certain Chevy cars are eligible for our CPO program.

To earn the CPO title, a Chevrolet vehicle must have less than 75,000 miles on its odometer. It must also be from one of the six most recent model years. To be eligible for our CPO program, a car must also pass a comprehensive 172-point vehicle inspection performed by one of our factory-trained technicians.
